It’s probably no surprise to many of you that internet availability in upstate New York can be patchy and unreliable. To help combat this, we set up a free WiFi hotspot near our office for local students to catch up on coursework during the COVID-19 outbreak last month. Our hotspot has been consistently gaining momentum and has been featured by the following news outlets and community organizations:
- Local Company Offers Free WiFi to Students [News 10 ABC]
- Adirondack Technical Solutions Offering Free Hot Spot in Argyle [Post Star]
- Free Wi-Fi in Parking Lots an Education Haven for College Students, Rural Families [News 10 ABC]
- Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce
- Friends of Argyle, NY
- SUNY Adirondack
- SUNY Adirondack Office of Business Central
- Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce
- Welcome to the Southern Adirondack Region
- Ransom Stiles House
- Capital Region Chamber
If you know a student who is struggling to find a reliable internet connection to complete their schoolwork, please let them know about this resource. If you have any trouble accessing the hotspot, give us a call at 518-638-2020.
