What is the virtualization program?
When people talk about virtualization, they’re usually referring to server virtualization. Server virtualization is a technology that allows you to operate multiple servers on a single set of hardware. Each virtual server operates as if it were installed on its own dedicated hardware. Leveraging virtualization technologies can reduce downtime & IT expenses and increase productivity.
In addition to server virtualization, there is also Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technology that allows you to operate your desktop in a standardized and controlled virtual environment – alleviating the costs associated with expensive desktop and laptop hardware. VDI can greatly increase the security of your environment. Different virtual machines can run disparate operating systems and multiple applications while sharing the resources of a single physical computer. Each virtual machine is isolated from the other virtualized machines so if one crashes, it doesn’t affect the others, effectively minimalizing potential data loss and frustration.
