Each month, one member of our team is asked to select an organization they’re passionate about to be an ADKcares recipient. This month’s charity was chosen by director of operations, John Gollhofer.
Why did you choose the Lake George Association to be this month’s ADKcares recipient?
As a resident living on Lake George, I chose to have ADKtechs to sponsor the Lake George Association (LGA), knowing the important role their organization plays in protecting and preserving the environmental water quality of Lake George.
The LGA has been protecting the Queen of American Lakes since 1885. The LGA focuses on “collaborative, effective solutions to keep the Lake clean, stop invasive species and enable residents, businesses and municipalities to live Lake-friendly”.
The owner of ADKtechs, Jared Humiston, believes that there needs to be a balance between our work environment and natural surroundings. It is fitting for our business, located in the heart of natural farm country, to support an organization that is focusing their efforts to protect the nature of the Adirondacks.
