Each month, one member of our team is asked to select an organization they’re passionate about to be an ADKcares recipient. This month’s charity was chosen by network engineer, Josh Scott.
Why did you choose the Big Ride for EB to be this month’s ADKcares recipient?
Epidermolysis Bullosa, or EB, is a rare genetic connective tissue disorder that results in fragile skin that tears or blisters with any friction. After witnessing a close friend deal with the tragic loss of his child to this rare condition, it is now inspiring to see his dedication to raising awareness of Epidermolysis Bullosa. He has now bicycled across the country and back twice, over 20,000 miles, visiting hospitals and foundations around the country to continue raising awareness and money for the advancement of the treatments available for this debilitating disorder.
